He's baaaack......
What scares a serial killer? One word: Daddy.
Can America's favorite serial killer have it all? Husband, father, bread winner...serial killer. That's the million dollar question for this season of Dexter.
We certainly won't know the answer on the September 27 season opener but finding out how it will all unravel is the fun part. Season 4 puts forward an array of possibilities and challenges for Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), the serial killer who works as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, now that he's entered the world of marital bliss.
Last season concluded with Dexter marrying a pregnant Rita (Julie Benz) and vowing "to be the best husband and father he could be." In season 4, Dexter appears to have everything he could possibly want except the one thing he actually needs ---which is time to kill.
Although diaper duty appears to have pushed Dexter's little killing hobby to the backseat, that's not to say that he won't be giving in to his urges. After all, season 4 has a new villain on the loose and he comes in the form of John Lithgow, who always has the capacity to freak viewers out. As reported in the past, the 3rd Rock from the Sun star will be playing a prolific serial killer known as the "Trinity Killer"-he kills in threes- and leads an unassuming double life similar to Dexter's.
Season 4 will also bring about the return of Keith Carradine's FBI Agent Lundy, who is back in Miami to track down the Trinity Killer, and possibly disrupt Deb's romance with Anton.
Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
